And ...Well, thank you for calling Dan and me nice. And for using a picture that doesn't make me look fat. BTW, never mind the fair use, you're certainly welcome to use the picture - credit for the photo should go to George Burke, who took it at the July 4th Central Labor Council Picnic, outside the CLC Headquarters, two years ago.

I would like to clear up a couple of small inaccuracies. I'm not really a union activist just an unyielding union supporter. I'm more of a Democratic activist and Dan's the union activist. That's important because I actually am not a member of an AFL-CIO union.

Also, I didn't compare Obama to Jesus and Palin to Pontius Pilate. I was quoting from the Diane Rehm Show, where somebody had made the observation that Pilate was a governor (technically, a procurator appointed by the Emperor of Rome, not elected like a modern govenor).

Anyway, I thought it was a funny comment. But it's hardly fair to blame Tim Kaine for it since he had nothing to do with Diane Rehm's show or my blog. And I'm not his best friend, though I admire him. The picture is, after all, two years old. For all I know, he'd run screaming from me today.

But other than those small inaccuracies, keep up the good work :)Karen Duncanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13954405672195734097noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7196647840925086486.post-77564158100075670642008-09-09T07:14:00.000-07:002008-09-09T07:14:00.000-07:00I'm not exactly clear what part of the statement y...I'm not exactly clear what part of the statement you're arguing with here, other than completely distorting the original remarks to say all governors are just like Pontius Pilate. Of course, since the top of the national Republican ticket is building its entire campaign on lies, I suppose you're just following marching orders. Keep up the good work and good luck winning any races up here in Northern Virginia in the next generation or so.TheGreenMileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15774630689123316690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7196647840925086486.post-81820036124110142142008-09-09T06:16:00.000-07:002008-09-09T06:16:00.000-07:00Wow.Yet again, the elephants have a cow. What part ...Wow.
Yet again, the elephants have a cow.
What part of the statement, "Jesus was a community organizer, Pontius Pilate was a governor" is factually incorrect?kestrel9000https://www.blogger.com/profile/18430351893471495541noreply@blogger.com
