MWAA Turns Its Back to VA Lawmakers

The Washington Examiner ARTICLE on Wednesday shows yet again that the MWAA would rather employ workers from other states.

Some of the comments made by MWAA member Dennis Martire, on the boards behalf, show the boards thoughts on a project labor agreement for Phase-2...they want it.

(Dennis is also the Vice President of the Laborers' International Union of North America. Shocker?)

They must not want $150 million in state funding...

GREAT News for Virginia

Yesterday, MoneyRates.com named Virginia the #1 state to earn a living.

On top of this, the Governor announced that over the last 10 days Virginia has received more GREAT news.

- Corporate facilities and expansions increased by 44% in 2011

- The states unemployment rate has fallen to 5.8% - the lowest in 3 years

- Agricultural exports hit a record high of $2.35 billion in 2011 - up 6% from 2010.

- In the month of February the states revenues increased by 17.2%.

Simply put, unemployment has gone down. Job-creation, exports, and the quality of life have gone up.

Ugly Words of a Democratic Extremist

On February 23rd, a Democratic extremist, Margaret Doyle became infamous for being escorted from the General Assembly Building after a vote for a "personhood" bill didn't go her way.

The bill was eventually carried over until next year's Session.

Extremist extraordinaire, Margaret Doyle, then took it upon herself to write a vile email to Delegate Kathy Byron regarding her informed consent bill, HB462.

See the Washington Post article to see how a Democratic extremist finds it appropriate to communicate with an elected official.

VA Senate Dems, "Obstructionists"

The liberal Virginia Pilot has a nice editorial, HERE, on how the Virginia Senate Democrats are more interested in power than doing their jobs.

VA Senate Dems Overreach

Yesterday, the Washington Post pointed out how the Senate Democrats are threatening a government shutdown.

The author points out how the actions by the Senate Dems are "overreaching, self-serving and cynical..."

The budget was formed in a bipartisan manner and now, for purely partisan reasons, it is being held hostage by the Senate Dems.

Senate Dems Creating an Unsafe Commonwealth

Virginia law enforcement is hoping the Senate Democrats uncross their arms and stop stomping their feet so that Virginia's police, sheriffs, and prosecutors can do their jobs - protect the Commonwealth.

A delay in funding will SEVERELY impact this core function of government.

The President of Virginia Sheriffs' Association said, "A failure to adopt a state budget jeopardizes the ability of local governments to adequately address the public safety needs of our citizens."
