VA House Minority Leader Needed to be Corrected

Last Friday, the Minority leader, Delegate David Toscano, for the Virginia House Democrats made bold claims that all of the focus on the Republican side of the aisle was towards social issues.

Toscano stated that the GOP members are overly concerned with bills on abortion, bills on guns, and bills on gays.

The fact of the matter is, that as of Friday (Feb. 3), the percentage of bills patroned by Republicans or Democrats that have passed the House floor, only 3.2% pertained to social issues.

As Delegate Gilbert corrects the Minority leader below, social issues are not the most important concerns to the House Republican Caucus; the economy and jobs, education, and government reform are. Like most Virginians...
