Take a look at this map created by Democratic blogger Kenton Ngo. It shows the voting patterns for the most recent countywide election in Fairfax for Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. The Democrat candidate barely won with 50.4% of the vote.
Especially note the districts in red. These districts are represented by Albo, Caputo, Shannon, Rust, Hugo, VanderHye......were all won by the Republican candidate.
The Republican candidate crushed the Democrat in Hugo's district by more than 27 points (see southwest corner of the map). Also, see the strong wins in Albo's district (southeast) and VanderHye's (northwest corner).
The tide is turning....it will be interesting in Fairfax County this year......
